Total War Saga: Troy Mod - Achilles Mod is a free video game utility that reskins Achilles and other characters in the game into looking more like their movie counterparts. Developed by Eco_Gatg, this graphics mod changes all in-game images and 3D models of Achilles into a better look for any fans of the 2004 film, Troy. The mod also reskins Paris and Hector, but their 3D models are still the game’s default models.

Total War Saga: Troy is a 2020 turn-based strategy video game developed by Creative Assembly Sofia. It is the second installment in the Total War Saga subseries and is the sequel to Thrones of Britannia. This time, it eclipses the story of the Trojan War in Homer’s Iliad and features various playable hero characters who represent the two warring factions. Similarly, the 2004 epic historical war drama film, Troy, also focuses on this tale.
In the movie, Greek warrior Achilles is portrayed by award-winning actor Brad Pitt. If you find that you prefer the movie version’s appearance rather than the aged look the game gave Achilles, then the Achilles Mod will help you out with that. It changes all images and models of the character into Brad Pitt’s likeness—all the while staying close to the game’s art style. Simply drop the file into the game’s folder to install it.
The mod also includes reskins of Hector as Eric Bana and Paris as Orlando Bloom—however, only their images have been changed, as the mod is still being worked on. You can also simply download these reskin packs separately if you want a specific character. Unfortunately, this mod only works if your Portrait Quality is set to 2D in the graphics setting. Moreover, not all hero characters have been given makeovers.
Not exactly like the movie
All in all, while Total War Saga: Troy Mod - Achilles Mod is an interesting little tool. It doesn’t add much else, but some revamping of appearances. The voiceovers are still the same, so you won’t be hearing the actors in the game. You also can’t use any other graphics setting for Portrait Quality. Otherwise, the mod won’t work at all.
